APA Member’s Good Deed Makes National Headlines
To be featured on NBC Nightly News, Wednesday, March 11th between 5:30 – 6:00 p.m. (Central Time)
Two weeks ago APA Board Member Danny Cottrell launched his own economic stimulus plan by awarding $16,000 in $2 bills to his employees. Danny gave each full-time employee $700 and each part-time employee $300. He only made two requests of them - to donate 15% to charity and to spend the rest locally in Escambia County.
The motivation behind the generous gesture was to do something for his employees and the community during a time when things are tough. The $2 bills are easy to track and according to reports have been showing up at businesses all over town.
Danny’s good deed has not gone unnoticed by the news media. In addition to local news outlets, Danny’s story has been featured in USA Today, on Fox News, and on the morning news show Fox & Friends. Next up for Mr. Cottrell is a segment on NBC Nightly News, set to air Wednesday, March 11th between 5:30 – 6:00 p.m. (barring no last minute programming changes). We hope you’ll make plans to tune in.
