The Krewe of APA invites you to celebrate Mardi Gras in June at the 137th Annual Convention & Trade Show

We couldn’t be so close to the home of America’s original Mardi Gras without celebrating.  Join us June 10 – 13, 2018 at the Grand Hotel Marriott Resort, Golf Club and Spa and “laissez les bons temps rouler”!

Speaking of history – the Grand has quite a story of its own.  It’s been a fixture in Point Clear since the 1840s and has survived fires, floods and hurricanes.  It’s been used as a hospital, as a training base for the military, as well as being known as the Queen of Southern Resorts.  It’s been described as the kind of place “where you just want to slow down, watch the water, and smile.”  Who can resist that description?

As if Mardi Gras in June and being back at the beautiful Grand hotel isn’t enough of a reason to save the date of this year’s annual convention…

We’re excited to announce this year’s keynote speaker is Kevin Brown.  Kevin's unconventional path to business and personal success has taught him that winning in business and in life requires anything but conventional thinking.  Kevin is on a mission to help people and organizations embrace a simple philosophy that separates world class organizations and high performance people from everybody else. He is passionate about helping people expand their vision, develop their potential and grow their results. And, as the father of an autistic child he knows firsthand how the principles of true success reach beyond the boardroom and into the lives of real people facing the challenges of everyday life.

If you’ve been to an annual convention recently you already know that this is where you want to be to connect with friends and colleagues, check out the newest products and services and learn a few things from really interesting people in our CPE programs.

Now back to Mardi Gras in June…
There’s a lot of different ways to celebrate Mardi Gras.  You may want to dress for a ball or dress for a parade.  Maybe you want to be the king and queen of your krewe or a float rider.  The best beads may be your claim to fame or you might have the most fantastic mask.  I’m quite confident that we have a few jesters in our group as well.  Long story short – there’s no wrong way to celebrate with us at our Fat Tuesday Bash!

Online Registration Information/Tips
Because of the amount of information requested/displayed on the registration tabs we thought it might be helpful to offer a few notes.

Attendee Information Tab
This tab is pretty straightforward; however, please make sure you indicate your t-shirt size if you are registering for the full convention or ordering additional t-shirts.  That sometimes gets missed.  Also, if you are signing up to attend the Auburn or Samford Breakfast please indicate in the box below the number of people attending the breakfast.  We need to know if you are planning to bring a spouse or guest to the breakfast.

Attendee Selections Tab
There's a lot of choices on this tab so we thought it might be helpful to explain how the registration and tickets are organized.  The top section labeled required has the different registration options available for convention.  You must select one option from the top section or you won't be able to complete the registration process.  If you want to purchase tickets only you would choose the last option in the required section.

The optional section includes the guest/spouse registration.  Following the guest registration is the different options for purchasing additional tickets for our events.  Please note that there are multiple options for each event (i.e., quantity, adult or child ticket).

Below the additional tickets are options for ordering additional t-shirts.  After t-shirts are the options for student sponsorships.

As always, if you have questions or need assistance please call the APA office at 334-271-4222.

CPE Credit
In order to receive credit for this program you must provide APA with your NABP e-Profile ID as well as the month and day of your date of birth.  In addition, you must sign-in at the beginning of the program and complete an evaluation form at the conclusion of the program.  No exceptions.  No partial credit will be given for the CPE programs so it is important that you arrive on time.  Your credit will be uploaded to CPE Monitor within four weeks of the program. You must provide APA with all required information within 60 days of the program to receive credit.  APA cannot award CE credit after 60 days.
