   and we need YOURS at our 2025 Legislative Events

APA's legislative events are coming up this spring, and we need YOU to make them a success!

The 2025 legislative session gets under way in February and our reception is scheduled for Tuesday, February 25, 2025. The APA Legislative Reception is the perfect place to meet with legislators and help educate them on the issues that effect our profession. The format will be similar to past years – we’ll have a briefing and photo prior to the start of the reception.

The APA Student Legislative Lunch is scheduled for Wednesday, April 2, 2025 on the South Lawn of the Capitol.  We are always super excited for this event with our student pharmacists showcasing the importance of advocacy! 

It's imperative that legislators interact with and hear from their constituents, not just APA leadership. Your participation and involvement directly impact our successes on the Hill.

History of APA's Legislative Events

Alabama pharmacists have gathered in the state capital of Montgomery to "Paint it White" for many years. in 2015, the annual Alabama Pharmacy Association Legislative Day was split into two events on two different days to increase our exposure with legislators and educate them on legislative priorities. These annual events provide us with a greater opportunity to promote pharmacy in Alabama than any other program. This is your chance to educate our lawmakers about the issues that affect pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacies. You can’t afford to not be heard!
