Alabama Pharmacy Legislative Events

BOTH OF OUR 2020 LEGISLATIVE EVENTS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19 CONCERNS

2020 APA Legislative Event Dates Announced!

More than 300 student pharmacists participated in APA's 4th Annual Student Legislative Lunch on the Capitol lawn, last year. As we've said before, this event allows students to learn about the importance of advocacy, hear from individuals involved in the political process, and interact with legislators during and after lunch. Make plans to help us take the hill again in 2020 on March 25!

More information and to register.

Thank you to our 2020 sponsors, Platinum - APCI, and Contributing - NACDS & APA Health Plan!

We'll follow up the Student Legislative Lunch with a Legislative Reception. The potential impact and overall success of this event is in YOUR hands. Legislators are looking for their constituents when they attend our reception. We try every year to have at least one APA member from each legislative district, and this year will be no different. Mark your calendars now for Tuesday, April 7, 2020.

Thanks to Platinum Sponsor, APCI and to Contributing Sponsor APA Health Plan!

History of APA's Legislative Events

Alabama pharmacists have gathered in the state capital of Montgomery to "Paint it White" for many years. in 2015, the annual Alabama Pharmacy Association Legislative Day was split into two events on two different days to increase our exposure with legislators and educate them on legislative priorities. These annual events provide us with a greater opportunity to promote pharmacy in Alabama than any other program. This is your chance to educate our lawmakers about the issues that affect pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacies. You can’t afford to not be heard!
