Qualifications. Any pharmacist of good professional standing who has been duly licensed by a nationally recognized Board of Pharmacy shall be eligible for Active pharmacist membership.
Eligibility to Vote. An Active member in good standing shall be eligible to vote at the General Sessions of the Annual Convention of the ASSOCIATION and in the mail published ballots and in the election of the general
officers.
Retired Pharmacist Members - $50 annually
Qualifications. Any pharmacist of good professional standing who is retired shall be eligible for Retired pharmacist membership.
Eligibility to Vote. A Retired member in good standing shall be eligible to vote at the General Sessions of the Annual Convention of the ASSOCIATION and in the mail published ballots and in the election of the general
officers.
Resident Pharmacist Members - $50 annually
Qualifications. Any pharmacist currently engaged in a PGY1 or a PGY2 residency shall be eligible for Resident Pharmacist membership.
Eligibility to Hold Office. A pharmacy resident shall be ineligible for election or appointment to office in the ASSOCIATION except as provided in the Bylaws for the House of Delegates.
Eligibility to Vote. A pharmacy resident in good standing shall be eligible to vote at the General Sessions of the Annual Convention of the ASSOCIATION, in the mail published ballots, and in the election of Board
of Trustee members.
First-Year Pharmacist Members - $50 annually
Qualifications. Any pharmacist actively engaged in their first year of professional pharmacy practice who has been duly licensed by a nationally recognized Board of Pharmacy shall be eligible for first year pharmacist
membership.
Eligibility to Vote. A first year pharmacist member in good standing shall be eligible to vote at the General Sessions of the Annual Convention of the ASSOCIATION, in the mail published ballots, and in the election
of the general officers.
Associate Members - $150 annually
Qualifications. Any reputable individual, who is not eligible for Active pharmacist, retired pharmacist, first year pharmacist, pharmacy technician, student, or resident membership, who has an interest in the profession
of pharmacy, is a member of a firm or corporation directly related to the profession of pharmacy, and is informed concerning the purposes of the ASSOCIATION and willing to accept the obligations imposed by membership, shall be eligible
for Associate membership.
Eligibility to Hold Office. An Associate member shall be ineligible for election or appointment to office in the ASSOCIATION.
Eligibility to Vote . An Associate member shall be ineligible to vote in the ASSOCIATION.
Pharmacist-Spouse Members - $75 annually
Qualifications. This category is only available to spouses (non-pharmacists) of pharmacists who are deceased, or spouses (non-pharmacists) of pharmacists who are current members of the ASSOCIATION, or spouses (non-pharmacists)
of pharmacists who have been converted to Medicare supplement insurance from APA’s health insurance program. The dues and benefits shall be established by the ASSOCIATION Board of Trustees.
Eligibility to Hold Office. A pharmacist-spouse member shall be ineligible for election or appointment to office.
Eligibility to Vote. A pharmacist-spouse member shall be ineligible to vote.
Student Members - $20 annually
(Discounts apply for multi-year memberships)
Qualifications. Any student who is enrolled in the professional degree programs of Auburn University’s Harrison School of Pharmacy or Samford University’s McWhorter School of Pharmacy, or is a resident of Alabama
attending an out-of-state school of pharmacy, shall be eligible for Student membership.
Eligibility to Hold Office. A student member in good standing shall be ineligible for election or appointment to office in the ASSOCIATION, except as provided in the By-Laws for the Board of Trustees as an appointed student
representative.
Eligibility to Vote. A student member in good standing shall be ineligible to vote in the ASSOCIATION.
Pharmacy Student 4-Year Membership: Available only to P1 students - $65 Pharmacy Student 3-Year Membership: $50 Pharmacy Student 2-Year Membership: $35
Pharmacy Technicians - $25 annually
Qualifications. Any currently registered pharmacy technician in good standing with a nationally recognized Board of Pharmacy.
Eligibility to Hold Office. A pharmacy technician shall be ineligible for election or appointment to office in the ASSOCIATION, except as provided in the By-Laws for the Board of Trustees Pharmacy Technician Trustee.
Eligibility to Vote. A pharmacy technician shall be ineligible to vote, except as provided in the By-Laws for the election of the Pharmacy Technician Trustee position on the Board of Trustees and in the House of Delegates
as outlined in Chapter II of the Bylaws.
